Like low frequency radar, highly concentrated radar beams, AI making sense of even the tiniest hint of disruption in the noise, heat exhaust detection, drone-radars hitting aircrafts from high angles and whatnot. It's a fighter jet, not a UFO, it will not be invisible. And then the Su-57 is a much better aircraft. The US should've gone for a futuristic speculation like the stealth stuff, i like the idea! But it is super high risk. They should ALSO have gone for a more conventional aircraft. Imagine if they had improved on the F-16 even more than how Russia has improved on their 1970s jets!

It is going to defeat everything it will face because there is nothing non-NATO that can beat it. It is stealthy because it allows SEAD or makes it a BVR monster. What can you do to an enemy if you don't know it's there until the AMRAAM is seconds before impact? An upgraded F-16 would be detected and shot down before it could come into range. And we can see how well the Russian way is working; they can't get air superiority because of a few Patriots. There are people much smarter than us working on the F-35 program who know what they are doing. By the way, low-frequency radars are extremely impractical because they can only tell you that there is something, not what it is. If it's a friendly, they can't tell you exactly where it is, nor can they guide any weapons. They also don't work when the weather is bad. And it is unknown if modern stealth jets can be detected by them because the last jet that was detected by a low-frequency radar was an F-117.

Well, not so much anymore, it seems. The stealth tech gap has been closing for quite some while now. The West has de-industrialized themselves in the name of globalism they now give up to multipolarism. Russia examines more engineers every year than the USA does. With lack of industrial capacity, decaying infrastructure and a poorly trained workforce, it will be difficult for the USA to win a bet on tech superiority. Especially since incompetence, corruption and fanatically reality-denying ideology are so flagrant in Western government, business management and universities today. All being anti-meritocratic. And the voting people being so demoted and fragmented.
